When was the last time your dogs saw their mother? Some aren’t lucky enough to see their mother once again, as they were placed into new homes right after their mothers gave birth to them. As sad as it sounds, this is a reality for most dogs. While a human mother can watch their children grow up, this is different for most dog mothers as they never get to see their puppies again. But what if a mother dog was given the chance to reunite with her puppies again? That’s exactly what happened to one mother dog named Bess.
Bess had it hard, especially during the first few years of her dog life. She was found as a stray dog wandering around the streets with no owner to feed or care for her. One day, Bess’s life changes when strangers Tracey and John Stewart see her situation. Without hesitation, the couple brought her into their care and soon enough adopted her. What Tracey and John didn’t know was that they saved the lives of twelve other puppies inside of her.
The 12 Puppies
After learning about Bess’s pregnancy, the couple feared that the delivery might be too risky for her life, so they immediately brought Bess to the emergency of the veterinary clinic. However, the veterinarian informed the couple that one of the puppies was blocking out the birth canal. But after long, stressful hours, Bess successfully delivered all 12 of her puppies.
Due to the gravity of Bess’s situation, the Stewarts took care of Bess and her 12 other offspring in their home to ensure each puppy would get the help they needed. Caring for a pack of puppies would be too difficult for the couple, especially when these 12 energetic puppies had their own personality and quirks.

As the weeks passed, the puppies grew to be stronger and independent thanks to the couple’s efforts. It was also time for the puppies to go, but the couple’s main agenda was to get Bess adopted first. They created an adoption profile for her online until they stumbled upon a family looking for a dog.
As soon as Bess was rehomed to her new family, the couple’s attention turned to the 12 other puppies. With the help of their wide network of friends and family, they were able to rehome all of them. But as much as they’re happy and contented with their newfound homes, Tracey couldn’t help but wonder if these puppies will ever get to see their mother again.

The Reunion
Months have passed since Tracey last saw Bess and her puppies, so she decided to throw them a surprise. Since she’s in contact with the owners, she plans to arrange a get-together. Tracey rented out a large field where the dogs could play around. There were also food, toys, and balloons to celebrate the get-together of Bess’s large family.

The dog siblings and their families gathered around the open field as soon as the reunion day came. Later on, the dogs lined up to welcome their mother, Bess, who had arrived with her new owners, and Tracey was thrilled to see that they would get to see each other again. The dogs seemed to remember one another as their tails started wagging at the sight of one another. They ran and played around the field as their owners watched from behind.

From The Club
Sadly, I never got the chance to meet the parents of our family dogs, as I’ve only seen them in pictures. But if I were invited for a family reunion of any of my dogs, I would gladly accept the invite and head over to the reunion. I want to see the reaction of my dogs, their parents, and their siblings just to see if they still knew each other. The Stewart couple truly has a heart of gold as they’ve save Bess and her 12 puppies, nursed them, and even arranged a reunion even if Bess or any of the puppies aren’t under their care anymore. Hopefully, many dog owners will also do the same for their dogs.
